Here's what the humans have to say about me:
On June 18th, a volunteer with KT?ARF in Lebanon, KY reached out to secure placement for a dog that was surrendered to them that had been cruelly treated, abused, and neglected. This boy was incredibly sweet, but had severe neck wounds from a dog fight that had been left untreated. He was quickly taken to a vet for further management of his wounds, as his prior living conditions were deplorable.
After hearing this sweet boy’s story, we decided to call him Frank, meaning “free man”, to represent his new life free from chains, dog fights, and every other horror this poor boy has had to face.
Luckily, we were able to secure a foster for this sweet boy, and he is now on the road to recovery! He was neutered and had all the dead tissue removed from his wounds on June 22nd, and has recovered wonderfully! Now, it’s time for this boy to find a wonderful forever home where he never has to worry about the horrors of his past ever again.
Since being in a foster home, we have learned that Frank is the sweetest boy, and as playful as they come. Despite being a previous bait dog, he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, and absolutely LOVES playing with the other foster dogs in his foster home! Frank has been working on training with his foster mom, and is learning his basic obedience like sit, watch me, lay down, and stay. He’s also doing great with learning his house manners!
If you’re interested in making Frank part of your forever home, you can apply to adopt at www.lexpitcrew.org/adopt. His adoption fee is $175.
