My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brenda has been in our care for a year She is a 10 year old Chihuahua mix who is sweeter then pie. She loves her snacks, scritches and going for short walks between naps.

She is kid friendly, and cat friendly for dog-savvy cats (though she can sometimes be the fun police ) She would prefer to be the only dog in the home.

Brenda is mostly entirely blind but learns layouts quickly, walks like a dream on the leash, and follows voices like she can see. She is also on a daily medication for her Cushings disease but takes it happily in a little wet food.

More about this rescue

Noah's Ark Rescue Project and Sanctuary (NARPS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization which is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need, as well as educating the public on important issues, and implementing low cost vaccination and sterilization clinics. Our goal is to address vital contributing factors which lead to the overpopulation of domesticated pets. Overbreeding and overpopulation directly affects the number of animals who find themselves in shelters and in need of rescuing. NARPS is currently operating mainly as a foster based program, with ambitions to eventually have a facility to house for our rescues. We are not a breed or species specific rescue, At NARPS, big & small, hooves & paws, we rescue them all!
