Meet Cayuga- Cayuga came to us originally as a puppy with her siblings last year. She spent several months in a loving home, but unfortunately as she grew out of her puppy-phase and into adulthood, it became clear that Cayuga desperately wanted to be an only dog and would not be able to live sustainably in a multi-dog household. Given her high prey-drive, a home with cats is likely not a good match for her. She struggles with anxiety, especially around loud noises, and is looking for a low-traffic household where she can be the star of the show. Cayuga's previous adopters reported that she is the most loving ‘velcro-dog' and is happy to pass the day on the couch lazing around.

If you are looking for a loyal forever buddy, and you aren't too concerned about going to the dog park or other high-traffic dog areas, consider Cayuga! If you'd like to meet her, feel free to call our adoptions desk or stop by during Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5.

Chat with our adoption coordinators about what you're looking for in a pet and learn more details about the animal you're interested in.

Meet the Pet

Get up close and personal with the animal to see if there is a love connection!

Sign Adoption Contract

Once you've determined the match is right, we'll complete the adoption paperwork and provide you with helpful info about your new pet!

6.
Take the Pet Home

This is our favorite part, seeing new partners walk out our doors.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees include: spay/neuter, microchip, recent treatment for fleas and worms, age-appropriate vaccinations, testing for FELV/FIV (cats), certificate for free vet exam, and an adoption packet with additional pet care information and coupons.

Adult Cats (6 months – 7 year): $110
Senior Cats (8 years or older): $65
Puppies (under 6 months): $300
Adult Dogs (6 months – 7 years): $200
Senior Dogs (8 years or older): $150

Please also note: You must be 21 years or over to adopt.

If you are a senior person you may be eligible for an adoption fee waiver through our Dr Jean’s Senior Friends program.
