Meet Sunny, an adult dog whose zest for life is contagious. His energy and playful spirit make every day an adventure. He loves running and tugging. A friend to all, Sunny is sociable and loves to be around other dogs but he has never lived with one. He always wants to play with the ones he meets during walks. Not only is he a bundle of joy, but Sunny is also a quick learner. His intelligence shines through his obedience and his mastery of leash and house training. He knows the sit, come, no, and down commands. He uses his 73-pound body occasionally to lead you around and he might wander off while off leash, but he`ll come back if you call him. However, even though Sunny is easygoing and friendly with children of all ages, he can get a bit jumpy around them, so a home with older kids or adults would be ideal. Sunny`s cuddly nature makes him the perfect companion for those cozy nights in. He`ll enjoy being petted. He craves companionship, thriving in the company of those who love him, never wanting to be alone. He was given up because is his owner`s personal problems. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021.
