Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beautiful Figaro is a Russian Blue-mix with big, mesmerizing, yellow-green eyes that are lined - like she's wearing makeup. This young lady was born into a managed colony, in a family's backyard in Northridge, CA. She was handled by her caregivers who would pick her up and hold her at meal time.
We were contacted to help get them all spayed/neutered and, hopefully, adopt out any of the tames and the new litter of five kittens... all of whom Figaro began to mother and comfort nurse in their foster home.
Since Fig's still adjusting to life as an indoor kitty, she's still a little on the shy side - which is why I've listed her as needing an experienced adopter. She is very social, though, and loves head and neck pets and scratches.
You'll find her complete rescue journey chronicled on our Facebook page: "Save the Leadwell Kitties" in Photo Album #29 (lots of adorable video footage there, too)!
Figaro's adoption will include her:
* Spay surgery,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* and Micro chipping!
~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~
* Please only contact us if you'll be making this little girl a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors.
** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!
*** You can also find all our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including their rescue story, photos and video updates).
