My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

Stage 5 clinger alert!!!  Have you ever wanted a cat that you could wear like a hat? Or perhaps someone to stare at you for hours endearingly?  We have the cat for that!  Meet Goki or the Gokester or Gokimeister....he will gladly come running to anything you might call him because all this tiny (he's a little dude) house panther really wants in life is his very own human!  Or perhaps several humans all living in his house ready and willing to give him all the loves and attention.  Goki has been with us since he was a baby with his siblings since July 2021 and while they all got adopted as kittens Goki couldn't because he had chonic tummy troubles that we just couldn't figure out.  We had tried medication, food trials, different supplements and nothing really worked perfectly until one day when Goki had an odd skin issue on his nose and the vet said well, let's try something.  We gave Goki a shot to help his skin irritation issue and low and behold it cleared that up in a day but it also made his tummy troubles go away!  So when considering Goki as your forever friend keep in mind it might mean periodic trips to the vet to get the special shot that makes this boy's issues stay away.  Goki is an absolute lover and would be amazing for anyone that considers them selves to be a true and absolute cat lover too.  He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.  As always our adoption fee for cats or kittens is free will to approved applicants.

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
