My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

KIMMY is a cute young short-haired, black-and-white female tuxedo kitty. She and her sister were found living under a house when they were only 7 weeks old! Kimmy is a shy but sweet cat who will need a patient home and a low-key, loving family. She loves treats and wand toys and ABSOLUTELY LOVES running on a cat wheel! She also loves to cuddle with her sister and all of the other cats and kittens in her foster home.  She will take some time to feel comfortable in new surroundings, but once she does, she coexists well with other cats and with dogs. She is very careful with humans but will come for treats and play time, which makes her feel comfortable enough to allow pets and head scratches and interaction with her humans. She would love to be adopted with her sister (Daisy), but this is not required.  Kimmy is a sweet kitty who has a lot of potential in a quiet home with a loving and patient adopter.

KIMMY has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet KIMMY in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. The $145 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
