Hey, it's me, Penny! I'm a 4-year-old, 60-pound Shepherd mix, and if you're looking for a loyal, independent companion with a side of sass, well... you found her. My foster mom says it's time I share my story, so let's get to it.
First off, baths and nail trims? Ugh, not my jam, but I'll grin and bear it (mostly). I'm 99% house-trained (accidents happen, okay?) and I'll mosey over to the door when nature calls. I get along with other dogs if there are no toys or treats involved, but if you want me to be the star of the show, I'm cool with that too. Very cool. I mean, who wouldn't want me as their one and only?
Kids and cats? Eh, let's not. I live with a cat right now, but honestly, I'm more interested in keeping the yard squirrel-freeÂwhich I do quite well, thank you very much.
I'm a little shy at first and need some time to warm up to new humans, but once I trust you, we'll be best friends for life. I'm not big on shared walls - aka apartments - because I do have some opinions I like to voice. I'm also a bit of a Houdini when it comes to harnesses, but my foster mom found a collar I can't escape from. Challenge accepted, I guess!
I love walks, backyard time, and car rides. I'll need a fenced yard, though, because my brain loves puzzles, and sometimes those puzzles involve digging under fences for a bit of solo exploring. Supervision is key here, people.
I'm smart, I'm independent, and yes, I can be stubborn, but I promise once I'm in your circle, I'm a total lovebug. Just add pizza crusts and a little patience, and we'll be golden.
