Cupcake was born on 5/24/23 and is one of the puppies from the Baker’s Dozen litter. Now that she is 3+ months old, she has entered the toddler stage, and we all know how fun that can be. Like any toddler, she wants to put everything in her mouth, potty training is a daily adventure, and she thinks all rules were made to be broken!
She is an extremely sweet girl that gives great eye contact and loves to be wherever her person is. She is being fostered with 2 adult male dogs that she is already able to keep up with and then some. She has met a couple other large male dogs of various ages and energy levels, and seems to do well with all of them. She LOVES to drink water with her feet in the bowl, and play in the sprinkler. She rides well in the back of an SUV, and knows how to sit for her dinner. She has mastered going in and out of 2 dog doors to access the back yard, and has started to learn walking politely on leash.
But when she puts on her sassy pants, you will have your hands full with this very smart little lady! Currently, her favorite game is to run away when she gets scolded to avoid a correction, then resume her mischief-making behavior as soon as your back is turned. When corrections are enforced, she will go sit down and watch you, and you can see her wheels spinning behind that sweet expression. In order to reach her full potential, she will need a home with someone that has prior experience raising puppies that are a bit more challenging than the average dog, and someone who knows how to follow through with a correction in a calm and assertive way. Early socializing and consistent training will help Cupcake develop into an amazing dog!
