Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Kaylee has been at the shelter for over 550 days, making her one Almost Home`s longest resident! She’s often overlooked but still holds on to hope that her perfect person is out there. Kaylee has so much love to offer to the right home!
Shy at first, Kaylee takes some time to warm up to new people. Once she`s settled in, her sweet and special personality shines. Kaylee loves spending time outdoors, exploring the sights, and soaking up the fresh air. She enjoys a good play session and then relaxing for a well deserved nap.
Kaylee has been working on her socialization around other dogs and has made some progress. However, staff believes she would thrive as the only pet in the home for now. Kaylee would need a cat-free environment.
Kaylee is looking for a patient and loving family to give her the chance she deserves. If she sounds like she could be your special pup, come in to get to know her today!

More about this shelter
WHO WE ARE
The Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS) (formerly the Tippecanoe County Humane Society) was founded in 1939 by a group of local animal lovers in Tippecanoe County. Since its beginning more than 60 years ago, the organization has been dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our community.
We are not a government agency, are not affiliated with any national organization, and we are not a United Way Agency. We are an open-admission shelter and we accept all animals in need, regardless of age, health or adoptability. As a local non-profit we exist through the generosity of our community.
MISSION STATEMENT
We, the Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS), care deeply about the comfort and rights of animals and citizens within our area. As such, we strive to enhance the relationship between people and animals through education, to control the pet population through responsible advocacy, and to provide sanctuary for unwanted, lost, and neglected animals.
NON-PROFIT STATUS
The Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS) is an independent, nonprofit agency. We are not funded by any governmental or national animal welfare organization. We are a private, non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, relief of suffering among animals and the extension of humane education, and we are governed by a volunteer board of directors.
