Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Periwinkle, or Perry as his friends like to call him. Perry is one of the pups who came to us from the hoarding case from the pspca. He is approximately 6-12 months old and a best guess is some sort of Daschund, Jack Russell, Chihuahua mix. Again all a best guess. Perry is hanging out in a temporary foster home as he slowly learns how to be a real dog. Though he can be timid and scared around new people, once Perry warms up he is very fun to watch. He loves chin and ear scratches and will bounce around and lick your fingers as his form of play. Oh and once he’s comfortable, cuddling is a must. He does seem to stick to one person and slowly will branch out to others. He is very food motivated and will be fun to train.

Perry is still scared of loud noises and fast movements, and would do best in a home with no kids or older kids who understand boundaries and that he will need time and space to warm up. Perry has done well with other dogs and seems to prefer the company of more laid back dogs that will not overwhelm him.

Perry does have mild separation anxiety (howls & barks) but is slowly improving. We do feel he will regress once in a new home, so any adopters should be prepared to work with him on this. In addition because of this we do not feel he will do well in apartment/condo living.

All around this sweet face is looking for a home who is willing to put the time and dedication into that will help him flourish into the best boy he can be.
