Sophie 2 was surrendered to the rescue in the summer of 2023, and at first, she was quite fearful and heartbroken at having lost the only family she’d ever known. Under the loving care of the staff at the Goathouse, Sophie 2 has begun to shed some of her shyness, and we hope to find her a wonderful, true forever home where she can live out her golden years. Sophie 2 would love nothing more than a sunny, quiet space to call her own, with a family seeking a sweet, gentle companion.

Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats.The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
