Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Look at this HANDSOME Boy - Sweet Denver is ready for his forever home.
He is fine with cats. He ignores his feline foster siblings, (he was curious at first like a reminder “oh yeah cats again”) so a dog savvy cat and proper introduction would be a good idea. He gets along with his foster canine siblings as well - he loves to run with them (although they don’t really play with him much.) He continues to try to get them to play with him. If he goes to a home with another pup, it would be best to be a female or a chill male. (He did try to hump the intact male at his foster mom’s house. That didn’t work out so well for Denver, so he didn’t try again.)
He’s not interested in any sports, but he does love to play tug and carry his toy around the yard. He is NOT food aggressive. He sits nicely for his turn for dinner/breakfast and treats and does not try to take food away from anyone. Denver truly wants & needs a caring person and/or a playmate. He loves car rides and would prefer to go anywhere with you. Denver does fine at home alone during the day loose in the house with the doggie door open and at times with the doggie door closed. He sleeps in an open crate at night; he goes right in and chills. He does need/like to see outside, so a dark, closed-up home would not suit Denver. He loves to be outside too.
His original owner said Denver has some separation anxiety with some destruction, but he has exhibited none of this while in his foster home (both times he’s been there.) This is where a home with lots of windows where he can see outside is needed for Denver. He also has stayed in a 5’x5’ pen during the day when at a dog event and he’s been fine, just lays down. Yes he did bark and get excited when the dogs competed, but he quieted down when told. Denver likes to stare at sunshine rays & reflections but call him off and he comes. Denver is a really good boy who just wants to be loved. HIs foster mom is sharing her love 4 ways, and wants Denver to have more, the life and love that he deserves.
Denver is 7 ½ yo, neutered, and UTD on his vaccines. He is being fostered in northeastern Ohio.
