Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! I’m Bean, also known as Jelly bean, Jumping Bean, Beany Baby or Her Majesty Queen Bean. I am 4-years-old and I look like a pure bred cutie pie I am a master of fetch! I love to go on walks, play with squeaky toys and run around in a fenced yard. Then we can cuddle up on the couch and watch a romcom. I am only 45 lbs so I can and will fit in your lap, trust me. I am a bit shy with new people, but I warm up quickly and once I do…I will love you with my whole heart! I don't mind being friends with a dog the same size or bigger than me, as long as we take it slow, but kids tend to stress me out so a home without them is ideal. I've been at the shelter for over a year now, and I’ve seen other dogs come and go. I hope someone comes for me too! More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
