Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey hey hey!! Miss Shay here! Thank-you for clicking on my profile, I’d love to meet you. Let me tell you a little bit about adopting me.
I was found wandering in a field with 11 of my brothers and sisters. After being rounded up by the police after having been abandoned and taken to the shelter, the super kind people at NBS took me and two of my sisters into their rescue. Nobody knows exactly who owned us before or why they got rid of us, but boy did we hit the doggie jackpot!
I am about 9 pounds and estimated to be 2 years old. I am such a happy and confident girl. Like, I love EVERYBODY! And I have so much love for life. My foster family has taught me how to wear a collar and happily walk on a leash. I love going for walks multiple times a day and am always ready to go. I greet everyone on our walks with tail wags and kisses. I give a lot of kisses. :) I also like car rides. What fun places the world has for me to explore.
I have met many dogs and I live with a cat. I get along with all of them! I really think kids are so cool too. And I have my eyes always lovingly on my foster parents. I love to cuddle and sleep and get belly rubs. I also think sleeping in bed at night is really awesome. I prance when I know its food time too!
I am not fully potty trained yet but I am making progress. A family who will help me get 100% there will be important for me. I also will bark if left home alone so a family that has someone home more than not would be super great for me.
I am waiting to get spayed, hernia repair and dental at the end of July and will be available for adoption as soon as I am healed. Am I the perfect girl for you? I hope, I hope!
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. Not all of my friends here at NBS Animal Rescue have the same requirements, so if I’m not be the perfect fit for your family- be sure to check out my other doggy friends too! For me?
These are the things I fur-sure need in my fur-ever home!
- Family who has someone home often
If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $300.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and are ready to apply, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family just yet. However, would you please help by sharing my picture on Facebook, twitter or by email? I'm a great pup and need a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
