Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Coy is a cute pointer/hound refugee saved from the Duplin County shelter and he shows his gratitude every single day! He is very family oriented and loves, loves, loves his people!
He is a great companion to young and old and his favorite person is his foster's grandson. They love to play together and Coy thinks tug of war is the best game in the world!
He is also fantastic with other dogs after introductions (even small ones) but it's probably best that he interacts with sturdy dogs because he could accidentally step on the little ones during play time. Yes, he is a big guy at 80 pounds and a little klutzy but always up for fun and games! And despite his size, Coy has very good house manners and is naturally housebroken and good in a crate. He goes in his crate to sleep at night and doesn't make a sound. In fact, he lets his foster know when he's ready for his cookie and bedtime. And he will definitely alert his humans with a loud bark if anyone approaches the house.
All told, Coy is just a big lovebug who will make a great family dog! And a fenced in yard is high on his wish list because he enjoys being able to romp and play freely. He is only 2 years old, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Coy or need more information, please email adoptionsecondchance@gmail.com.
