James is a very handsome 4-year-old, 16lb Tuxedo cat that came to our rescue as a small kitten. He was in very bad shape as his mom was from a feral colony. Due to James' condition, we waited some time before putting him up for adoption at 6 months. Being a bigger boy when he went up for adoption he has not had much interest. Now at 4, he is still looking for his forever home.
James can be shy at 1st and takes a while to warm up to people. Once he does, he is the sweetest boy around. He loves to cuddle but on his terms. Mostly keeps to himself, but as soon as he knows you are near he will be meowing and rolling around for scratches and pets. He will tolerate being picked up although it is not a favorite activity. James is very playful, especially if you want to play with his favorite feather toys, but will play fetch too. Food and snacks are his favorite things in the whole wide world. And, he is used to being in a harness.
This cutie is fostered with cats and dogs. Does not mind other cats. A playful one may get him to play. With dogs, he will not be in the same room with them or if by chance they are, will stay away. He is looking for a patient home that will give him time to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. If he sounds like the right cat for you, don’t hesitate to contact us at heartandhomerescueorg@gmail.com.
