Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charlie is a handsome mix of Labrador and Golden Retriever (we think!) and delightfully smart and affectionate. Weighing in at 44 pounds, Charlie is the perfect size to cuddle up with and take on outdoor adventures.
Since he arrived from Mexico, Charlie has been showing his foster family just how excited he is to be here and how full of life he is! Charlie is a happy-go-lucky pup, always ready to play and explore the world around him. His enthusiasm for life is infectious, and he never fails to bring a smile to people's faces.
Charlie has a special fondness for toys and bones, and you'll often find him happily chewing away to his heart's content. He's a social butterfly and loves meeting new people. While Charlie is great with adults, we've noticed that he might not be the best fit for households with young children. His exuberance sometimes gets the better of him, and he may jump up and mouth during play. But with proper training and guidance, this behaviour can easily be redirected. Charlie gets along well with other dogs, but he currently seems much more interested in interacting with people or playing on his own.
Charlie is house trained and crate trained, though he may initially experience some mild separation anxiety when left alone. Nevertheless, he quickly settles down and rests once he realizes everything is fine.
When it comes to playtime, Charlie's energy is boundless. He loves destroying stuffies, running around the house, and enjoying outdoor adventures. He's definitely a dog that thrives on being active, and training is a must to ensure that his energy is channeled in the right direction.
The ideal home for Charlie would be one that can provide him with the training, attention, and physical activity he craves. An active family or individual who can invest time in training and exercise would be a perfect fit. Charlie's friendly nature means he can adapt well to various living situations, as long as he has the love and care he deserves.
Overall, Charlie is an incredible companion just waiting to find his forever home. If you're looking for a loyal, energetic, and affectionate furry friend, consider adopting Charlie into your life. With a little training and lots of love, you'll have a devoted companion who will brighten your days and fill your heart with joy!
