For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Hey, I'm Angelica! I am the longest resident here at Almost Home. After spending almost a year searching for my home, I find myself in the doggy dumps some days. I can be a little shy and take a some time to loosen up during visitations. Tiny humans can also be overwhelming for what I'm used to. Teenagers and adults are best for me. I live for gentle rubs, rolling in the grass, and soaking up the sunshine. I am also a treat loving chick! I have gotten along well with some of my roommates here at the shelter and love to tussle around. However, I can be selective of my playmates. Deep down, I just want to be loved! Although I would much rather be with my forever family, these ruff days wont slow me down! Come by and see my today!

More about this shelter
WHO WE ARE
The Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS) (formerly the Tippecanoe County Humane Society) was founded in 1939 by a group of local animal lovers in Tippecanoe County. Since its beginning more than 60 years ago, the organization has been dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our community.
We are not a government agency, are not affiliated with any national organization, and we are not a United Way Agency. We are an open-admission shelter and we accept all animals in need, regardless of age, health or adoptability. As a local non-profit we exist through the generosity of our community.
MISSION STATEMENT
We, the Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS), care deeply about the comfort and rights of animals and citizens within our area. As such, we strive to enhance the relationship between people and animals through education, to control the pet population through responsible advocacy, and to provide sanctuary for unwanted, lost, and neglected animals.
NON-PROFIT STATUS
The Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS) is an independent, nonprofit agency. We are not funded by any governmental or national animal welfare organization. We are a private, non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, relief of suffering among animals and the extension of humane education, and we are governed by a volunteer board of directors.
