Despite his name, Bruiser is the total gentleman! The only thing he’s bruising is hearts because he’s so incredibly good looking! Bruiser is a respectful and quiet refined dog. He’s got an independent side, but is still quite friendly! He enjoys being pet, but he also enjoys trotting around and finding his own fun. He likes to lay down by you once he is done doing his wanderings in our play yard. Bruiser loves treats, but he hasn’t mastered any tricks yet. He always takes his snacks nicely from your hand though. Bruiser has been looking for his forever home since 07/18/23.

Tiene un lado independiente, ¡pero sigue siendo bastante amigable! Le gusta que lo acaricien, pero también le gusta trotar y divertirse. Le gusta acostarse a su lado una vez que termina de hacer sus andanzas en nuestro patio de juegos. A Bruiser le encantan las golosinas, pero aún no ha dominado ningún truco. Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.
You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday also from 5 pm to 7 pm. We are open Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm and closed on Sunday.

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.
We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.
The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.
We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
