Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Buddy, who is an 11 month old, 78 lb., very handsome, very good baby boy, who was temporarily given to his owner's friend, while the house he lived in got repaired...Well, what was originally supposed to be a 3 week stay, turned into 3 months, after which Buddy's owner said he didn't want him back, because his landlord wouldn't allow it...😕...So Buddy was in limbo...To add insult to injury, one of the residents in the house where Buddy was staying had significant mental health issues, but had stopped taking his psyche meds, which caused him to take out his anger and frustration out on Buddy, by screaming at him and violently kicking at his crate, while Buddy was in it......Unfortunately, the woman who was caring for buddy and her partner (who is the half brother of the fellow with the mental health issues) both work 40-60 hours a week and left Buddy in a crate for 14-16 hours a day, while they were at work...They also live in a building with no yard, so Buddy got minimal exercise on a daily basis, but was still a good boy...❤...He would quietly sleep on the woman's bed at night and loved to cuddle with her...❤...Sadly, this good hearted woman had no way to protect poor Buddy while they were out of the home.
So last night, she reached out to me, absolutely desperate to get sweet Buddy out of her house and into a safe location...She was very fearful that Buddy could be badly hurt or worse......We couldn't turn our back on this poor young boy, who is reported by his caretaker to be VERY sweet, calm for his age, house trained, dog friendly, smart, intuitive and very loving...So early this morning, we had her bring Buddy to the vet for vaccines, HW testing and a microchip...Then we got him to safety in a beautiful facility, where he will be able to play, have access to an outdoor run 24/7, go for daily walks on 12 wooded acres and play in the play yard, which is equipped with baby pools......Not the same as a real home, but 100% safer and more stimulating than his former abode.
So, that was a long winded way to tell you that Buddy needs a forever home that will offer him all the love, comfort, safety and exercise that he deserves...We still need to complete Buddy's vetting, including getting him neutered, but he is really, willing and able to go to his perfect home very soon...Buddy will need a fenced yard and a canine friend about his age to play with in his new home...This boy has been through enough in his short life and deserves the very best life has to offer...If you live in the Northeast and have the time to continue Buddy's training and show him just how good life can be, please fill out an adoption application and we will be in touch promptly.
Thank you so much and hope to hear from you soon...❤...Adoption fee for Buddy is $500, which includes complete vetting, bed, new harness, leash and collar, bone, ball and food for transitioning...
Buddy is located in Texas and will be transported north once we find his forever home.
