My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Wow Bounce!

The handsome four-year-old feline with a heart as gentle as his name. Wow Bounce is not just a cat; he`s a stunning and very shy soul, still adjusting to the changes in his life and seeking a patient and understanding companion.
This lovely boy will need time to adjust to his new home, and his shyness is a natural response to the changes around him. He shows potential to do well living with another cat in his forever home with a slow introduction. Picture the moments of quiet companionship as he forms a bond with his feline friend and as you create a safe space for him to blossom into a confident and loving companion.

If you`re ready to open your heart to a shy and handsome companion, call us at 330-487-0333 ext 226 to set up an appointment and meet Wow Bounce in person. Don`t miss out on the opportunity to make Wow Bounce, the stunning and reserved cat, a cherished member of your forever family!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.

We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.

Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.

More about this shelter

Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
