My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Viola is so sweet and tiny and looking for a foster or forever home. We pulled her off the euth list at our local shelter. She was listed because she had some rear leg lameness due to a spinal injury. She is a chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund) coming in just under 10 lbs. and about 7 years old.

Viola started on medication and laser treatments to help heal her back. She has IVDD which is incredibly common in dachshunds. She has improved so much in the short time we have had her and are confident she will make a full recovery. She will need to be monitored with stairs, furniture etc. in order to not further injure or re-injure her back.
With her adoption will come 4 free laser sessions at our vet as well.
Viola loves other dogs. I think she lived with multiple other small dogs and had less human interaction. She is very afraid of being picked up and held but has the wiggliest butt and tail and loves attention and belly rubs.
She is looking for a quieter home or foster home. No children or large dogs (unless older) due to her delicate nature but she loves everyone she meets. She is shy to start but warms up quickly.
