My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Dakota, ready for adoption!

This adorable Shepherd mix girl is pure love and fun. The perfect combo of joyful energy and endless affection!  Dakota delights in being pampered, loves belly rubs, and melts in your arms for cuddles & kisses. When it’s time for outdoor fun, Dakota is a true explorer, intrigued about everything the world has to offer. She is energetic and finds happiness in all types of activities, even if it’s just running around the yard. She has a blast playing with both kids, and adults. And she definitely likes car rides, especially when the destination is an exciting adventure! Of course, she also loves to take big naps when the fun winds down.

Dakota is very passionate about treats - which is perfect for training! She is now practicing house training and walking on leash with her fosters. She’s a highly intelligent and observant dog who strives to please her humans. True to her breed, Dakota is sure to pick up obedience skills in record time!

UPDATE FROM CAREGIVER IN MEXICO:

The charming Dakota has overcome a challenging start, found critically underweight with ropes knotted around her neck, reflecting a history of mistreatment on the tough streets of Guadalajara México. Although we don't know precisely how long she endured this situation, it was evident that she suffered a great deal. However, her life took an extraordinary turn when she was rescued by her guardian angel. With patience and love, Dakota regained confidence in herself and in people. Now, she enjoys days filled with joy and fun. Dakota radiates love and happiness. Her joy comes to life when playing with other dogs and with her humans. She's a natural explorer, brimming with energy, and she gets excited as she races around the garden at full speed. Of course, she also happily indulges in sweet naps. She's passionate about walks and treats, delighting in affectionate moments and belly rubs. Her friendliness extends to both other dogs and children. Dakota is learning to walk on a leash and do her business in the right place. She is intelligent, observant, and eager to learn. Her ideal home would be a family that loves to do outdoor activities since she is energertic and loves to explore, play and run but she can also adjust to a low-key home environment as she enjoys being by her humans' side.
Dakota yearns to find a loving family to share exciting adventures. Are you ready to give this lovely girl a second chance?

**PLEASE NOTE: Dakota is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval.**
