My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Betty is maybe only 1-2 years old. Her coloring is beautiful and she’s super sweet. She is a small girl maybe 35 or so pounds. Betty is heart worm positive. She has pledges to go towards her treatment.
She’s been wonderful with men, women, children and all the dogs she has met.
BETTY NEEDS ANOTHER FRIENDLY DOG or several dogs!
We call her Betty the magician because she escaped the shelter, cleared a four-foot fence like it was nothing and ran into the nearby woods. Our hearts were broken. About four weeks later someone saw one of our postings and called us. They had been feeding her for a while. We picked her up that day and she is safe again.
Betty needs:
➖MANAGE the area to keep her safe 6’ Fenced yard with no gaps
➖spend bonding time with her and MAKE THAT CONNECTION!
➖give her time to decompress from shelter life and her time on the run
➖provide structure/routine ….structure helps her feel comfortable and secure and it builds trust.
➖ How do you prevent her from tracking a smell and escaping? Make her backyard her paradise!!
