My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Aurielle who entered Home Sweet Hammy Home as a baby piggy in need of some TLC which she has received and is fully rehabilitated and ready for adoption.
In the rescue home she lives beside another baby piggy named Veronica and while they interacted well through their cage bars for 3 weeks, the 2 of them didn't do so great in a communal cage, both are dominant and unwilling to back down, so they were separated for their safety and went back to visiting each other through a barrier. Aurielle would be great with a less dominant personality piggy who is older than her, one who perhaps recently lost a cagemate. Bonding is required prior to adoption.
Please note guinea pigs are social animals and do need friends, however not all of them will mesh well together so it is imperative to pair up correctly and have a 2nd cage on hand in the event a bond ever breaks throughout their lifetime. It is also possible to allow 2 piggies to live side by side which is the next best thing to having them living together. Guinea pigs should not ever live alone without another piggy to communicate with.
