Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Agility, hiking, running, Barn Hunt, Fast CAT, tricks are just some of the activities Layla, ARPH #14426, would excel at. This 7 month old (DOB 12/25/22) spayed blue merle female is a bundle of energy. She is athletic, agile and can jump over 5 feet high. She came to ARPH after having been surrendered to a local shelter. Her previous owners had not done their research about the breed and found she was more than they were ready to handle. We want to assure that her “forever home” is an active home where she will thrive. Layla would do best in a home that likes to train. She is smart and picks up on things quickly and would do very well in training classes.
Layla absolutely loves people and would love to be the center of someone’s universe. It is a common sight to see her little butt wiggling when she sees her favorite humans. Due to her energy level and jumping she will not be placed in a home with children under the age of 12. She will not be placed in a home with cats or with another female. She may be placed with a male A physical fence is required (a minimum of 4 feet).
Layla is housebroken and accepts the crate, though she is not a fan of it and loudly lets you know she is unhappy. She is microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations.
We do require a vet reference as well as a home visit. She is currently being fostered in central Connecticut.
If you are interested in Layla please complete an adoption application. They can be found at www.aussierescue.org. No meets and greets until an approved application is on file.
