My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

POE is a six month old yellow Labrador retriever. He’s going to be a big boy! Poe weighed in at 58 pounds during his vet visit. He has had his first vaccines and physical exam. The vet recommends not neutering him until the age of 12 to 18 months. We will cover that at the Brandywine Valley SPCA in New Castle when the time comes. This is for optimum joint health, and less chance of a Cranial cruciate ligament ( CCL) tear. Because of this, we would like to keep him somewhat local. Poe is great with other dogs, kids and cats. We are looking for an outdoorsy family for him – he loves to swim! Camping and hiking are a must!  If you are the family that Poe is looking for, please fill out an application at www.companimals.org. Adoption fee $500.
