My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Gunther. It means Warrior. I’m a little older guy who’s been through some stuff. When I came here, I was so sick. I had an upper-respiratory infection, a urinary tract infection, hookworms, heartworms, knee problems…I was so tired…I could barely walk and I was about 20 pounds under weight. I battled back because I am a warrior. But they tell me I’m also a goofball. I like laying on the couch with my people; naps are my favorite thing. And food. I like that a lot. My people have cats and the little ones are fun to watch (sometimes the big ones are scary, even for a warrior). Life is pretty good now, but I think I’d like my own person; one I don’t have to share with so many others. Would you be my person?

Animal Rescue Carolina (ARC) is a no-kill,501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is four-fold: 1) to promote spay-neuter, 2) to restore stray animals to good medical health, before adopting them into permanent, loving homes, 3) to encourage Trap, Neuter, and Return(TNR) and, 4) to educate pet owners about their responsibilities as guardians for their companion animals.
