My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! It’s me, Gus! My foster mommy and daddy said that I am ready for my furever home. I have been cleared from the Dogter and he said my necessary tail amputation went great and I’m all healed. Yay! Let me tell you a little about myself… In a couple of months I’ll be one year old. I have been in my foster home with other doggies in the house and since I’m a baby, I want to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY! I don’t realize when I need rest time, too, so foster mommy lets me know when I should rest. I’m a total “power chewer” so I’m always monitored with any toys and should have tough, hard chew toys so I don’t accidentally ingest anything. I adore being with humans and other dogs and get along well with all. I like kids a lot but since I don’t realize my own strength yet it might be best for me to be around bigger kids. Foster mom keeps me separate during feeding time because I’m so food motivated that I would like to eat everyone’s portions. I am kennel trained and know when foster parents ask me to go in to rest. I sleep throughout the night very well in my kennel and have my favorite blankets so I feel safe. Since I’m still a baby I’m still working on commands such as “stay, down, and come.” I can always sit for a treat, though! I have my face and wrinkles cleaned all the time and get a treat when I’m finished.
