Here is River, you may remember him. He was abandoned, left living at the trailer they left him at for over a year as a puppy. He is 20 months old at 70 lbs.

He is such a good boy and now is looking for a Furever Home. He needs lots of positive reinforcement since his humans let him down!
River will need an a quiet place with a tall secured fenced in yard( since he is a flight risk) He needs an experienced German Shepherd owner. Someone who will take it slow, spend a lot of time with him, a patient person preferably a female (since he is somewhat leery of big tall males-from trauma that occurred) He is good with cats and some dogs.
River has been a joy, loves his foster Mom and with time has become to love his foster Dad. He is an energetic dog loves to play fetch, skittish at times but also plays well with toys and himself. He can relax. He is very intelligent, loves training time. He has quickly learned the basic commands. He has learned to walk on a leash and get in and out of cars. He has done well meeting new people. He is a total love bug and will follow you everywhere. Very loyal. He just wants to be part of a family and is protective of his person. Typical German Shepherd.
River is neutered, UTD on shots, on heartworm prevention.
