My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I rescued this adorable tortie kitten and her 5 siblings when I trapped their feral mama (mom was spayed and returned once the kittens were weaned). I’ve had her since she was only a few days old, so she’s never known a time before human affection. She loves people, and is incredibly outgoing. She craves attention and affection, and will happily snuggle up on your chest or lap when she’s done playing. She is such a lovebug and will run up to you chirping for pets and cuddles. She LOVES to give kisses, and will show you how much she appreciates being pet by periodically licking your fingers and arm. Her toritude comes out a little bit when she meets new cats, but it doesn’t take too long for her to get over it. She’s such a sweetheart!

*** All HHAK kittens are spayed/neutered, FVRCP vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

This gives me some initial background info about you and your household so we can find you the perfect kitten.

2.

Meet the Pet

If your home is a good fit, I’ll reach out so that we can schedule a “meet and greet” for you and the kitten.

3.

Approve Application

If you are approved and would like to move forward, we will finalize the adoption.

4.

Pay Fee

There is a $150 adoption fee for kittens under 1 year old, and a $125 fee for older cats.

5.

Take the Pet Home

** A kitten may go home early as “foster to adopt” if s/he is too little for spay/neuter. The adoption is finalized after s/he is fixed.

Additional adoption info

Like most rescues, very young kittens cannot be solo. Meaning you must already have a cat at home, or you must adopt a pair. Having 2 kittens is actually less work and creates sweeter, gentler, better behaved cats than having just one. Google “single kitten syndrome” to learn more.

More about this rescue

Here Have a Kitten is a small nonprofit in Los Angeles dedicated to saving and finding forever homes for orphaned, abandoned, neglected, and at-risk kittens.

HHAK is run by a 30-something attorney named Devin, who pours her heart and soul into every adorable little kitten that comes through her doors so each kitten is showered with love, attention, and affection.

You can find tons of pictures and videos of currently available and previously adopted kittens by checking out HHAK’s super popular instagram page @HereHaveaKitten.

Donations are always needed and so appreciated! All donation options and additional info and resources are available at https://linktr.ee/herehaveakitten. This is all made possible by the generosity of people like you.
