Here's what the humans have to say about me:
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************
Cliff, 3.5 years old, neutered male, Pitbull/Shepherd mix (best guess), 70 pounds. He is physically located in San Antonio, Texas and can transport to an approved adopter.
Cliff is as sweet as can be! He can be a little shy when first meeting, but he opens up in no time. He is a larger guy and his foster mom describes him as a "gentle giant."
Cliff gets along with all the dogs he has met so far. He is playful and likes to play. He has been around small dogs and quietly sniffed them out, but did not engage in play or bother them in a negative way. Due to his size and his playful demeanor, we would recommend a home with another dog who is big enough to engage in play. We would describe his energy as fairly moderate- he is happy to go on walks or play with another dog and then snoozes for periods of time. He is a great combination of both activity and chill.
He has met kids of different ages and definitely loves people- big and small. As mentioned earlier, he is very gentle. We think he would great in a home with kids who respect animal boundaries.
He does pull a little on leash and will respond to cues. He does want to say hi to every dog that passes by. He is not negative in his reaction, but could use some more work on his leash manners. He is very happy and wants to greet everyone! He is potty trained and does fine when crated. He would prefer to be out of one, but does not fuss when he is crated.
Cliff is described as a quiet and gentle soul. He is very handsome and pictures don't do him justice. He loves pets, affection and will crawl into your lap if you let him. He is loyal and loves to sleep next to you. He is super loving. He rides well in the car and would make a great buddy to explore, run errands or just hang out.
We have no history with cats.
He is looking for a home either with another playful dog or a home who will provide some physical stimulation. He is an easy going guy looking for a home that wants a dog who showers them in kisses and love.
***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ***
