Meet the Pasta Crew!
Gnocchi, estimated 7 months (estimated DOB 12/15/2022), neutered male, Cattle dog/Hound mix, estimated to be a medium/large size when full grown. As of July, he is about 42 pounds. He is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter. Please note, he is physically located in the state of Texas. We are also taking our best guesses at breed and estimated weight.
This group of puppies was found roaming in an area that is well known for having abandoned/dumped dogs. A very kind family saw them nearly run over by cars (on purpose) so they took them home. Shortly after we became involved, they started to not feel well and we confirmed with our vet they tested positive for parvo. We sadly lost two of the siblings. Gnocchi and 6 of his siblings recovered and have been doing amazing! This virus is not contagious as they are no longer symptomatic and are out of the shedding period. This also means they now have a natural immunity to this virus. There are no ongoing medical concerns and they are all regular, happy, energetic puppies!
This guy has a lot of energy and loves to play with his siblings and the other dogs in the foster home. He mingles with the goats and pigs on the property with no issues. We have no history with cats, but think he would be okay around them. He is a total love bug and soaks up all the love and affection he is given!
He has been around kids and is typical jumpy puppy. He will do best with children who are experienced around animals.
He is potty trained. He is not crate trained. He is also learning to sit for treats and food. He is very smart and wants to please/learn. Rope toys are his favorite. His foster mom says he is "easy going" and "mild mannered." He tends to stay to himself vs rumble with the group.
For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs.
***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ***
