Here's what the humans have to say about me:
* Rosie is in New England and available for a meet and greet! *
Another returnee, Rosie, is hoping that she’ll be back in a family home soon.
Rosie was adopted in July of 2020 from Straight Outta Texas. She’s been in a home with a family with other dogs and small children. Due to their living situation changing, her family was no longer able to have a dog.
What was Rosie to do???? Well Straight Outta Texas stepped up to place Rosie into an amazing foster home until a new adopter can be found.
Rosie is a 3.5 year old, spayed female, red pittie mix. She is potty trained and very well crate trained. She currently sleeps in a crate in her foster home but likely would be thrilled to snuggle up with her family at night. She knows commands like sit, down, come, heel, and off.
Rosie is currently a little over weight and needs to lose a few pounds. She would do well in a home where she will give her daily exercise. She’s overall a pretty mellow dog that enjoys lounging and napping. She will get up and follow her humans but is easily redirected. In her current foster home she displays no signs of toy or food aggression. She is learning to walk on leash without pulling.
Rosie is currently being fostered in New England and is looking for her forever home in CT, ME, NH, or VT.
If you are interested in Rosie, please fill out the application and we will be in touch!
Please note: We are unable to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time
Please submit an application instead of sending an inquiry even if you just have questions. Sending an inquiry will slow down the process, limit the ways that we can contact you and may send our reply email to your spam folder. Another application could be processed instead of yours for this dog.
All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, Adopt a Pet and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue and veterinary care of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
Ready to Adopt? The next step is to fill out our Adoption Application. A volunteer will contact you to review your application and see if your family might be the right match.
