Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tater Tot! Tater Tot will be 8 weeks old on July 12. She is an Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix, try-color with a full tail. Tater Tot came into rescue with 2 of her siblings from a farm in WI at 5 weeks old. Tater Tot is the mildest of the puppies and is especially into snuggling and loves belly rubs and being held. She is adventurous and enjoys exploring the yard. She also loves to initiate chase with her sisters. She will go up to the adult dogs in the home to initiate play, but doesn’t know how to handle it when they engage and will back away. Loud noises scare her, but she shakes it off quickly and returns to her playful/sweet self. She has done very well meeting children and adults, if she feels overwhelmed she will go find a stick to chew on in a quiet space. Aussie/Heelers will have a lot of drive and energy, so she will enjoy an active family who will find her a job or an activity to engage in. She is starting to get a bit mouthy as most puppies, especially herding breeds do. A family who is experienced in herding breeds or has a game plan in place for herding tendencies would be ideal.
All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. Her adoption fee will have a $100 deposit added to it for her spay. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.
