This helps Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue with pet care costs.
Hank (b. 2/2021) is an affectionate Australian Shepherd mix. He's a really good boy, he just gets a little nervous sometimes. He loves snuggling and giving hugs or getting pets. He will even stand on his hind legs to get hugs! He does great with his toys and will let you take them with no problems. He is a VERY active dog, and loves to play tug-o-war and fetch (even though he doesn’t always want to drop the ball). He would do anything for a treat or an ice cube… he loves to catch and eat ice cubes as fast as he can.
Hank is looking for an adult only home and even better if you work from home or are home often. He needs someone that would be willing to work with him and give him a little training. A fenced-in yard would be preferred since he has a ton of energy. Hank is a little sensitve about having his paws touched and it just depends on his mood whether or not he will let you. If you are calm and patient, then you just might be the perfect match for Hank. Apply today!!
The suggested adoption donation for Hank is $325. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2020 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $241,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.
Adoptions for Hank are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that s/he can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainer.
Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.
Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster home. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. If needed, we will put you in touch with the owner if you have questions.
Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
