Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LISA✨
🐶 Age 10 months
🌍 Location: Lake Tahoe NV
💙 Female
😎 Breed: treeing walker coonhound/corgi/beagle mix (we are guessing!)
📏 Size: Medium
⚖ Weight: 38 lbs
💃Energy: calm, yet playful, the perfect company for a person with medium activity or outdoors because she loves to play and walk but also to cuddle in.
She is very loving and accepting of people, dogs, children and cats, she will "clean your feet" all day long if you let her. Yes, she has a foot fetish. .
🐶Dog Friends: Yes, happy and loving being surrounded by dogs
👧🏽 Children Friends: Yes – it’s a definitely yes.
⛓Leash etiquette: Yes, good on the leash.
🥘 Resource Guarding
Chill and friendly demeanor.
She has some issues with resource guarding--we are working on that!.
Still in the process of learning commands, but she is a good listener and comes immediately when called
LISA is perfect for families with a yard, and she loves long walks.
Lisa is a tad anxious at first; it took her a couple of days to settle down after traveling from Cancun to the Lake Tahoe foster. She is subservient but not timid. She will be loyal and protective of her new family but you will need to give her some time to adjust. She has lived most of her life free roaming the shelter with many, many dogs so she will feel a bit anxious at first. She will quickly adopt you as her new pack and you will have yourself an incredible dog.
You will do well to get her formal training. If we are right about her breed, she is a working dog and will do best with regular activity, toys and games that keep her mind occupied.
She may exhibit separation anxiety at first but we believe that, once she feels secure, she will be content to stay home and guard the palace.
📣 Bark/noisy: She does not bark excessively
🏡 Housebroken: Yes, for the most part, but she will need some work in a new environment
🚙 Good in car: Yes, calm in the car
📚RESCUE STORY
Lisa was found in the outskirts of Cancun with her four siblings as small puppies
Lisa has been cared for in an open shelter with a kind and loving caretaker so she is socialized and ready for you. She didn't have to suffer on the streets for long and now is a normal, friendly puppy. Start with the training right away and you will have yourself a very good dog for many years to come!
We are reducing our adoption fee to stimulate more interest and to make room for more dogs. If you can give us our original fee of $600, it would be MUCH appreciated. Even that does not cover all of our expenses so the more you can give, the more dogs we can help.
