Leo is a young adult pit bull who came to the shelter about a month ago from some difficult circumstances. He was very frightened, and it took a team effort to gain his trust. Leo is a dog who needs you to show him first that you trust him before he will trust you. In a very short time, Leo has gone from a cowering, frightened dog to one who is happy to see those who he has connected with here at the shelter. He loves to go for car rides, is learning to walk on a leash, and will do just about anything to get his butt scratched. He was recently neutered, thanks to one of the generous staff members here at JCAS who is committed to finding Leo a good home. Leo would not be a good fit for a first time dog owner, and would do best with adults only or a household with older children. Introductions should be at Leo's comfort and pace. If you are lucky enough to gain his trust, you will have the best and most loyal companion for the rest of his life! Please call us at 715-284-0251 to make an appointment to meet Leo.
