Merlin is losing his family under tragic circumstances. His dad is fighting a second bout of cancer and has other illnesses and his mom has a long term illness. They are seniors and living in a trailer with no yard for him to run in. He has to be chained when out. He is a very sweet, loving, smart boy. He rings a bell when he wants to go out and will close the door when he comes in. He gets along with other dogs, although larger dogs scare him. He just needs time to see that they won't . He plays with the neighbor's 3 Yorkies and is very gentle. He lays on the ground to be at their level. He was bopped in the head by the neighbor's cat who then ran away and Merlin just stood there wondering what happened. He may be ok with cats too. He is very friendly and loves to give kisses and snuggle. He is 5 yrs old and needs to weigh around 70lbs. He currently weighs 66lbs and is on the thin side. One of his ears is permanently folded over due to a previous hematoma but makes him the cutest little boy you have ever seen. Merlin would love a family who has a fenced yard for him to run in and would include him in family adventures.
