TEMPERAMENT
MITCH is an incredibly sweet and loving dog who adores playing. He would make for a great companion to someone who is looking for a companion, he loves to be around people and is also a great explorer.
He also would be great with a family, as he already has shown gentle affection.
He is very curious and loves watching what you are up to especially if it involves food!
What I have learned about Mitch since he arrived in Lake Tahoe: He is an intelligent and watchful dog. He can be silly but he is not the first one to approach new people or situations. He is just a little bit nervous but it does not take him long. He is loyal and loves to lie at my feet. He is really beautiful. He has adapted nicely to a completely different situation than where he was at the free-roaming shelter in Cancun. It's the first time he has lived inside! But he loves to be outside and when the weather is nice, he can stay outside for hours. He has the most incredible golden eyes.
I believe that he will be a fiercely loyal dog to his human. He will love and protect your children (if necessary). I would recommend some formal training; with him, it won't take much and he will be the perfect dog. He wants to please and he is willing to love. Please help us give him the perfect home, you will not regret adopting him!
📚RESCUE STORY
The municipal Shelter gave the litter To Paws in Action when they where 2 month old puppies. We don’t know much of their story.
He would suit active people / family with possibly other dog / dogs who love playing and he will reward you with his loyalty and unconditional affection.
This litter of puppies has been a joy to have in the shelter. They have been with us for several months, their entire lives, for the most part, and expect love and kindness. Mitch is not fearful, but has not experienced much of the outside world. We believe he will make a wonderful companion for any person or family with the right training.
We rescue dogs from the streets of Cancun, rehabilitate, socialize and make them ready to be great pets.
They have much love to give. We spend a lot of time with our animals, making them ready for homes and ensure that they are as healthy as possible. The adoption fee covers PART of our expenses.
Our animals are special--they have known nothing but love during our time with them.
We are reducing our adoption fee to stimulate more interest and to make room for more dogs. If you can give us our original fee of $600, it would be MUCH appreciated. Even that does not cover all of our expenses so the more you can give, the more dogs we can help.
