My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophie, our 5 year old 7 pound chihuahua mix, is allergic to flea bites. She spent a long time without any preventatives and when we took her in, she was half bald with infected painful skin. We also needed to spay Sophie and fix her dental disease. She has been a trooper throughout it all and has fully recovered. Sophie's fur has grown back, she's no longer itchy, and she has minty fresh breath. The only thing she still needs is her own home!

When asked to describe Sophie, her foster mom had nothing but rave reviews. Sophie is cuddly and loves belly rubs. Although shy, she warms up quickly and is happy to bat her eyelashes at her person all day. Sophie is not very playful and doesn't initiate play with her housemates, but she lives with other dogs just fine. She also doesn't have a prey drive so we suspect she'd be fine around cats too. Because Sophie is a quiet girl, we think she'd prefer living with older kids. Sophie is potty trained and polite in the house.

Sophie is microchipped, heartworm negative, has had normal full blood work and is current on her flea and heartworm preventatives (of course)!
