My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This regal-looking boy, Morgan was found roaming the streets with another dog. He was very thin and neglected, and also tested light-positive for heartorms (he was treated for this condition and has a clean bill of heath now). He is doing beautifully in his foster home. His first foster told us that he is a perfect boy. He is loving, sweet and well-behaved, a little shy with new people. He gets along nicely with the three resident small dogs and is a little scared of the cat - he just walked away when the cat was mean to him. He loved a 4yo child he met at the vet's office. He would "sit" on command for the 4yo. He loves to be around his people and follows them whereever they are. He also loves to play like a puppy and he may be younger than we thought (some German Shepherds start developing grey around their muzzle at the age of 2). We estimate Morgan to be around 4 years old.

Morgan made his way to Baltimore in the same car with Taiga, Gina and a very pregnant lab (saved from being gassed in a shelter and on the way to safety). The crew was so well behaved that they earned praises from the volunteers picking up the lab - who started delivering the puppies in the car.

Morgan is a perfect gentleman in his second foster home too: he is housebroken and crate-trained. He does not chew or do damage, so he does not have to be crated when alone. He is very playful and enjoys running in the yard, playing with his toys, his meals and bones. Morgan LOVES children (and being around people in general) and had a blast with our volunteer family (featured with Rhett and Salvo on our web-page). He enjoyed being the center of attention and showered everyone with kisses. He likes to roll on his back to be petted. Morgan enjoys car-rides and going to places with his fopster mom. He made friends with the German Shepherds in his foster home and he is doing well with the cat too.

Morgan is still somewhat thin, but has a healthy appetitite and is gaining weight nicely. He is growing a new, soft, shiny coat with the good care and nutrition he is receiveing. He is up-to-date on his shots and is neutered.
Morgan underwent the heartworm treatment and has a clean bill of health now. He is ready to meet his forever family and give them his love, devotion and loyalty.

Three of our dogs, Morgan, Solveig and Max, received the best gift of all from Santa: the gift of health and life. Morgan was treated for heartworm and is doing beautifully. He wishes to thank the two volunteers who donated the money for his veterinary care and the very expensive heartworm treatment.
