Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FREE TO A LOVING HOME ALBANY, NEW YORK - I am looking for help in rehoming our 1 year old Saint Bernard. His name is Sully. Sully is neutered and his rabies vaccine is up to date. He weighs around 135lbs.
BELOW EMAIL FROM OWNER (BTW- he is just a puppy and all this is easily trainable with an experienced home). I have health issues and I don't have the physical ability to work with him like he needs.
He has issues with leash reactivity and will need someone who understands that and is able to work with him. He will bark at strangers and that can be quite intimidating because of his size and strength. He does best with slow introductions. I usually have new people toss treats in his direction and eventually the barking turns into wanting his belly rubbed. I'm not sure how he would be with other dogs. Our female German Shepherd passed away in the fall but they had played well together. He does have an allergy or sensitivity to chicken products.
Our children are 19,16,11 and 1. He is a love with all of them although because of size its probably best that he be with older children. Sully takes treats gently, is ok with taking medication (wrapped in cheese). He is wiggly for nail trims but enjoys being brushed. He absolutely loves water and likes to lay down in his kiddie pool in hot days.
