Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi my name is Nala and I'm a really cute fun-loving girl. Right now, I have a foster family taking care of me. My foster mom came to pick me up due to overcrowding at Fort Worth Animal Care and Control. I'm still young at approximately 3 years and learning how to be the best dog I can be.
My foster mom says I'm really smart and sweet. I'm dog friendly, and very patient with my foster family's dog who is blind and can be grumpy at times. I'm not very big only 29 pound. My coat is a gorgeous brindle color, that really makes my brown eyes shine! I like people of all ages and I love to be petted. I'm doing well walking around the block with my foster - she helps me to not get distracted on the walk.
I even started working with a professional dog trainer and I'm learning how to be the best girl! I just had my first training session and we focused on what is expected of me when the doorbell rings and when someone comes to visit as well as learning how to stay calm and rest in my crate. Potty training is going well too!
Oh, an important thing I want to mention, I go to bed when my foster family does- and I sleep through the night. I'm looking for my forever home with perhaps a yard and I'm open to a dog playmate. If you are interested in having a great smaller dog that gets along well with others, I'm the girl for you!
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
