Here's what the humans have to say about me:
And another one of the three that were brought to our vets office to be euthanized for NO good reason is ready to find a home to call his own - little Chinto.
Chinto is estimated to be 7 years old and weighs 18 pounds - a small little guy that is also mostly blind - but he can see shadows and has no issues getting around
He prefers it inside and we think it is possibly because he lived outside his entire life before coming to the rescue - but this boy does love some sunshine on his face.
Chinto is currently in a foster home with 3 other small dogs and with proper introductions , he has done great - we do believe he would do best in a home with dogs his size - he is not really a cuddler or a lap dog but given time he may be but he wants to be in close vicinity of his people. He would be great for a person that is just wanting a dog to keep them company as he would be perfect for that. He does fine being left alone and gets so excited regardless if it is 15 minutes or 2 hours - just super excited someone is back home. He had no idea what toys were when he came to the rescue but has learned to play with them and enjoy them. He also does well going for car rides
Because he is mostlyd blind sudden movements can scare him - so we recommend no small kids. He adjusted to his surroundings in his foster home quickly being blind so we know he will adjust to a new home quickly as well. We would prefer a fenced in yard for him
This little man just needs a family to love and appreciate him, because he is a great little dog and for the first time in his life realized that life as a loved dog is pretty good and he is enjoying it
If you are interested in adopting Chinto - please go to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, has had bloodwork done, microchipped, dewormed, current on monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention and we got his ear issues that had been left untreated before coming to the rescue resolved. His adoption fee is $250.00. He is being fostered in Hendersonville,NC
So if you are looking for some good company - look no further - Chinto is your guy for sure.
As a reminder - we are volunteer based and work on processing the applications as soon as we get them but sometimes it is taking vets offices (yes we do reference checks) a couple of days to get back to us. We also require a home visit

Their adoption process
1.
Submit Application
Before we will schedule any meet and greets we require our adoption application to be filled out
2.
Interview
Once the application is received and vet reference is checked, the foster would call and tell you more about the pet
3.
Home Check
If both parties feel like it could be a good fit we would schedule a meet and greet at your home

All of our rescues are fostered in separate homes, as we do not have a facility yet. We do have occasional adoption events, which can be found on our website calendar at www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org or on our Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/boxerbuttsandothermutts

More about this rescue
We are located in Western North Carolina. We do adopt out of the area with transport, although, certain dogs have to be adopted locally, and that is always stated in the description. If you adopt a puppy out of our area or choose to use a different vet, we have an application amendment to be filled out as well for the spay/neuter & vaccine contract.
