My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gloria and Greyson (two grey and white kittens)
Hermione and Lucas (calico and black kittens)

These dynamic brother/sister duos are such a powerhouse of energy, but at the same time, are so cuddly, sweet and loving! Both are very curious, which is another way of saying that they are into everything all the time! They run, climb, and bounce off the walls, but when you sit with them, they are just little purring motors!

They came into our foster home and just bring such a positive, loving and fun-loving vibe with them!

They will do well in a forever home that realizes how much energy they have right now, and how much trouble they will get into! They will benefit from a home where they can safely run, explore, climb and tackle each other! They will continue to do well with their humans throwing cat balls with bells, swishing feather toys around, and providing cat climbers and scratchers, which they require so as to try to redirect them from scratching other things around the house. That being said, they are still kittens and will try to get into everything else! They will need regular nail trims. For all the energy they have, they will also need their favourite plush cat beds, along with brushing, cuddles, and lots of love from their humans.

In our foster home, they have had the experience of living with 2 very calm and kind human kids, and they do very well. They have had the experience of meeting a resident adult cat, and they did a good job there, too. So far, they have not met a dog. We think because of their happy, sweet nature, they would do ok in a home that had a dog, as long as they were introduced very gradually, and as long as the dog is calm and gentle with cats.

If you think these lovely kittens might be a good fit for your family, please fill out an application online at compassionforpaws.ca
Thanks!

Additional adoption info

Adoption involves an interview, a meeting and home visit (in person after Covid, currently virtual), vet references, and an adoption fee.
Our greatest concern is the animals that we care for, and matchmaking is what we do best..

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Most of our cats and all of our dogs are cared for in foster homes. They are not available to meet until your application has been started, you have been interviewed and approved.

Some of our cats may be featured in the Global Pet Foods store located in Alliston, ON and in Shelburne, ON.
And we occasionally hold "meet and greet" events at PetValu, 184 Front St., Toronto, ON.

In those cases, the adoption process is the same and conducted by CompassionForPaws - NOT by the staff at the store. We never do adoptions directly from an event but applications may be tendered.

More about this rescue

We are a network of compassionate individuals that care for homeless paws, in foster homes throughout Southern Ontario, until they can find a new, permanent place to call their own.

Shelly Hawley-Yan has more than 20 years experience in rescue, and the team of Debbie Hunt, Vickie Janetos, Andrea Maenza and Dale Reilly add another several decades of combined rescue experience.

Our adoptable paws come from shelters where the animals may not have been coping with that environment, or may have been surrendered by people whose lives have changed,

All paws have been vet checked and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
