Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Toby is afraid of people but he is warmed up quickly. He needs a quiet home and someone with patience to win his trust. It is taking a week and he is already happy. He is having fun with us and our dogs. If you have time and patience for Toby he will make someone a great dog. We are letting him drag a leash until he lets us pet him but we have patience to wait for him to trust us.
UPDATE: Toby is a pretty happy boy now but we did not force him to interact with us. We left it up to him to see if he wanted attention of not. We are petting him and handling him fine once we earned his trust. He acts like he was abused in the past.
We had him drag a leash so we could handle him. This cutie has graduated from his tether to be quite a playful boy.
He is still special needs adoption when he will bite if crowded or scared. He will go to someone who has patience and could take him take months to settle in on Toby's timeline only. If you want an extra cuddly one then this is not your boy unless he likes you.
He is neutered and about 10 - 11 years old is our guess when he came in with no paperwork or a typical rescue.
We are guessing he is a Corgi and dachshund mix and a small medium sized boy. He is not a mini but he still fits on laps nicely.
He needs a home with no kids coming and going. Are you someone who is home a lot and a more sedate lifestyle? Then this might be your boy. Again he came in biting but settled into a charm bug but we also worked with him so he trusts us now. Plus those treat bribes helped too.
No apartments or town homes or shared walls homes if you live in town please.
