Meet Rhonda! Rhonda came to us last January when our volunteer, Amanda, overheard a customer at her place of work complaining about a cat always in his trash can searching for food. He stated that he was going to "get rid of her." Quick as a wink, Amanda stepped in, left work, went to the house, and brought Rhonda to us. (The man later gave us a donation.)
Rhonda is a beautiful brown tabby white paws and chest and beautiful green eyes, about 2 years old. She is very sweet and unassuming, and seems to have low self-esteem. Poor Rhonda must've been through a lot while being on her own out there and must've been eating out of the trash for quite some time, because she had a hard time keeping food down for the first 2 weeks she was in our care. So nervous was she that she lost some of her fur on her legs.
Now Rhonda is good as can be! She has been dewormed and eats heartily, She is very friendly, loves to rub her head up against you, and would make nice companion cat once she is comfortable. Rhonda got her name from the Beach Boy's song, "Help Me, Rhonda,' hence her photo (photoshopped) on the beach.
Rhonda's perfect home would be a quiet, low activity home with either no children or kids over the age of 14. Rhonda is/will be spayed, received an FVRCP vaccine, a rabies vaccine, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.
