Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fiona is a squishy, wiggly, happy 3-year-old girl. She’s 55 lbs of snuggles and loves nothing more than giving kisses. Fiona has been spending time in a foster home, where she’s earned an A+ report card! Her foster parents say she’s the perfect houseguest—mellow and very well-behaved. Fiona is quiet, potty-trained, crate-trained, and just wants to be where the people are.
She’s been going on lots of fun adventures, exploring new things like the beach and boat rides. She loves swimming and is a perfect balance between a couch potato and an adventure buddy. Fiona is friendly with other dogs, though she can be a little bossy, but enjoys going on walks and making friends with dogs that know she’s the queen.
Fiona has found the kennel environment stressful, so we’re grateful to her fosters for giving her a break. However, we hope to find her a forever home soon. She was rescued by local law enforcement, who knew she was a special, sweet girl. She's always happy to make new friends, and this joyful dog will brighten your life! More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
